VOKPIT, the voice motorcycle GPS

Everything by voice, hands on the bars.

VOKPIT is a motorcycle GPS for Android that you drive by voice and with the buttons of your Bluetooth intercom. Guidance, music, calls, alerts and SOS go through your helmet: your hands stay on the bars, and the screen cuts down to a few large targets as soon as you ride. The app is in French and English.

Download VOKPIT for Android

Beta version, free to install, until it reaches Google Play. APK file, Android 10 or later, phone with GPS. iPhone version in the works.

What VOKPIT does differently

Motorcycle guidance while riding: tilted map, next turn in 1.2 km, speed and arrival time. Ride screen: GPS speed, lean angle, left and right maximums, G-force, distance and duration. Menu while riding: four large tiles, Navigation, Music, Calls and Ride, usable with gloves. SOS screen: two minutes to cancel, then a text with your position to the people you chose and a call to one of them.

Music, calls and texts from your intercom

Speedometer, lean angle and ride log

SOS, crash detection and live tracking

VOKPIT does not call emergency services for you and no assistance centre receives its alerts. In an emergency, call 112.

Free, with the MOTO mode

The free version gives you voice remote control of your music, automatic ride mode, hazard reporting, the garage and SOS. The MOTO mode, a monthly or yearly subscription with no commitment, with a 14-day free trial, unlocks the rest: guidance, the ride screen, calls and content chosen by voice. SOS stays free. No third-party ads, no advertising trackers.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need an intercom?

It is recommended: guidance and commands then go through your helmet. The app also works without one, on the speaker or earphones.

Which intercom?

VOKPIT uses the standard Bluetooth profiles (hands-free and media controls) that motorcycle intercoms use to connect to the phone.

Does the GPS work without a network?

Computing the route needs a connection. After that, guidance, voice and arrival time are computed on the phone, and a downloaded map displays without a network. Hazard alerts always work offline.

Does VOKPIT call emergency services?

No. The alert warns the people you chose by text and opens a call to one of them. In an emergency, call 112.

What about iPhone?

The iPhone version is in the works.

Install

  1. Open this page on the phone and tap the download button.
  2. Open the downloaded file. Android asks you to allow installs from your browser: allow it, then go back and tap Install.
  3. Open VOKPIT. Updates do not install themselves: the app tells you about a new version and opens it in your browser.
